Rewild:

Rewild -reconnecting with nature and reclaiming a more primal way of life.”

Here is the root of K9Rewild, to get humans and dogs back in nature where we all belong. We will focus on safe trail skills, instinctual games and the options for more, such as casual Canicross.

(It is important to note many of these skills start in the home. With practice, we will move our way to new environments and get out in nature.)

Main focus of this service:

Rocket Recall: One of the most crucial skills for wild wondering. Build a solid recall with an emergency call for your off leash locations.

Predation Substitues: For those with a high prey motivation, this service is not to suppress, but give outlets and safely structure prey drive.

Forest bathing also known as shinrin-yoku : Another part of the rewild service is this practice originated in Japanese “the practice of spending time in nature to enhance health and well-being.” This is not usually done with dogs, and it should be! Once we have established some safety measures ,here is where you and your dog will move about freely and explore together. Tune in to what is around you, What is your dog sniffing, what path are they following, what sounds, and other stimulus are around you?

A time for you and your companion to just… be.

Future Service:

K9REWILD BEHAVIOR AND ENRICHMENT CENTER

I am currently working towards a center where we will offer an appointment only space for dogs off all kinds. A place to explore, learn, and heal. We will have a sensory garden, agility course, lure courses, trails, outlets for instinctual behaviors, safe open spaces to explore off leash,

and much more.

The goal of this, to offer a safe space… a space for behavioral rehab, a space for very day humans and their companions. A space, for those who want to connect with a species we hold so dear, to heal the behavioral challenged, all with the hope to save the lives of dogs who need another chance.

“Mack’s insight, calm, demeanor, and overall good humor is a true delight. I have learned so much about dog handling, terminology, and how to advocate for dogs. She provides so much for animal welfare. ”

-Ellen

“Mack is a strong, compassionate, dedicated force of nature. The way she shrives to expand her knowledge and skills is admirable. She has brought so much to the dogs in our care.”

-Ben

"I wholeheartedly recommend Mack. Her skill set for communication, behavior knowledge and guidance is impressive.”

-Kat

“Mack’s approach to reactivity was unlike any other. We had hit many walls with everyone who tried to work with our dog. Mack’s approach changed the way we saw him and how to help him feel safe. We learned so much from her.We couldn’t be more grateful.”

-Megan & Dave

“I want to thank Mack for going above and beyond at our spay and neuter event. Not only did she jump in and help where needed, she also gave special care to a feral dog from animal control. The dog was scared and not use to being confined or handled. Mack made sure she was well cared for, safe, and given extra love. She even took her overnight. It was a pleasure working alongside her!”

-Michelle

"Mack was referred to me by a friend, and I couldn’t be more thankful. My dog started resource guarding and refusing to be handled. Mack gave clear insight as to why Chloe was behaving this way. I saw what I needed to change. She gave helpful tips, how to understand guarding, and to respect her boundaries. We haven’t had an incident since!”

-Tara

“Mack truly has a way with animals. Her ability to connect with our dog was amazing to watch. She taught us to see dogs as individuals and provided outlets for behaviors we didn’t realize were natural. We are forever changed.”
